CETP INFRASTRUCTURE

Infrastructure Overview – 10 MLD CETP at FMFP, Mehsana

Vihaan Clean & Green Tech Pvt. Ltd. (VCGTPL) has established one of India’s most advanced Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP) with a total installed capacity of 10 MLD, designed specifically for the food processing sector at Fanidhar Mega Food Park (FMFP), Mehsana, Gujarat.

Treatment Capacity & Phased Implementation

  • Total CETP Capacity: 10 MLD
  • Implemented in Phases:
    • Phase I: 3 MLD
    • Phase II: 3 MLD
    • Phase III: 4 MLD

This phased development ensures scalability, optimized load handling, and uninterrupted service during future expansions.

Advanced Treatment Technology & Environmental Compliance

Our Technology Philosophy

We deploy advanced European Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD)–compliant treatment systems designed in accordance with stringent Dutch and European environmental engineering standards. Our solutions emphasize sustainability, operational reliability, and long-term regulatory compliance while maximizing water recovery and resource efficiency.

Core Treatment Technologies

Our integrated treatment infrastructure comprises the following proven and globally accepted technologies:

  • Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) for effective oil, grease, and suspended solids removal
  • ICX Reactor for high-rate anaerobic treatment
  • MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) for robust biological degradation
  • MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) for advanced membrane-level solid–liquid separation
  • Triple-Stage Reverse Osmosis (RO) for high-purity water recovery
  • Multiple Effect Evaporator (MEE) for reject management and complete ZLD compliance

Water Quality & Reuse Objectives

The treated effluent consistently meets IS 10500 Drinking Water Standards, enabling its safe reuse for boiler feed, cooling systems, and other industrial applications. This approach significantly reduces freshwater dependency and supports circular economy and water stewardship goals.

CETP Process Overview

  1. Primary Treatment
Incoming effluent undergoes oil separation, equalization, Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF), and pH correction to ensure optimal downstream performance.
  2. Anaerobic Treatment & Energy Recovery
High-strength wastewater is treated in a high-rate biogas reactor, generating renewable biogas and reducing overall energy consumption.
  3. Secondary & Tertiary Treatment
Biological treatment through MBBR ensures effective organic load reduction, followed by MBR systems providing superior filtration and consistent effluent quality.
  4. Advanced Tertiary Treatment (RO)
Treated water is polished through a triple-stage Reverse Osmosis system, achieving high recovery rates and superior water quality. RO reject is routed to evaporation.
  5. Evaporation & Crystallization (MEE)
The Multiple Effect Evaporator concentrates RO reject, converts liquid waste into solid salt for authorized TSDF disposal, and recovers condensate for reuse.
  6. Boiler Integration & Complete Reuse
RO permeate is routed directly to the boiler plant, ensuring maximum internal reuse and achieving true Zero Liquid Discharge operation.
